Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Cryptocurrency Market Maker to design, implement, and optimize algorithmic trading strategies that enhance liquidity and manage risk in volatile crypto markets. You will work closely with quantitative researchers, developers, and risk managers to execute high-frequency trading (HFT) and delta-neutral strategies across spot, derivatives, and DeFi markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liquidity Provision: Deploy and manage automated market-making strategies across major CEXs (e.g., Binance, Coinbase) and DEXs (e.g., Uniswap, dYdX), ensuring tight spreads and minimal slippage.

• Strategy Development: Build quantitative models to optimize pricing, inventory management, and risk-adjusted returns for crypto assets (e.g., BTC, ETH, altcoins, DeFi tokens).

• Risk Management: Monitor real-time exposure to market volatility, impermanent loss (in AMMs), and counterparty risks, implementing hedging strategies using futures, options, or OTC products.

• Data Analysis: Utilize on-chain data, order book dynamics, and macroeconomic indicators to refine trading algorithms and predict market movements.

• Cross-Protocol Integration: Collaborate with DeFi teams to integrate automated strategies with lending protocols (e.g., Aave), yield aggregators, and cross-chain liquidity pools.

• Performance Monitoring: Track key metrics such as PnL, Sharpe ratio, fill rates, and capital efficiency, iterating strategies based on backtesting and live results.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to global crypto trading regulations (e.g., MiCA, CFTC guidelines) and exchange-specific requirements.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in market making, algorithmic trading, or quantitative finance, with a focus on cryptocurrency/blockchain markets.

• Proficiency in Python, R, or C++ for strategy development, backtesting, and data analysis.

• Deep understanding of crypto market microstructure, including order types, arbitrage opportunities, and liquidity fragmentation across CEXs/DEXs.

• Hands-on experience with trading APIs (e.g., CCXT, WebSocket), AMM mechanics (e.g., Uniswap v3 concentrated liquidity), and MEV (Miner Extractable Value) mitigation.

• Strong quantitative skills in statistical modeling, time-series analysis, and stochastic calculus.

• Familiarity with blockchain explorers (e.g., Etherscan), DeFi analytics tools (e.g., Dune, Nansen), and risk management frameworks.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with high-frequency trading (HFT) systems or low-latency infrastructure optimization.

• Knowledge of crypto derivatives (perpetuals, options) and structured products.

• Background in DeFi protocol design or cross-chain liquidity solutions (e.g., Layer 2, bridges).

• CFA, FRM, or similar certifications.
